Venison Processing
At Jodev Farms, we are equipped with a fully operational butchery, giving us full control over how we process and care for any meat we deal with. We open up our butchery services to hunters in particular and anyone looking to have meat processed.
Our current price for venison processing is R38p/kg on carcass weight. This includes everything – all processing, spices, all vacuum packed and biltong/droewors dried if requested.
We’ve made the process as simple as we can:
1. Let us know you have carcasses that will need processing. (We’re open to deliveries almost 24/7 if we know you’re coming!)
2. Deliver your meat to our butchery @Jodev Farms, Kromdraai Road, Krugersdorp. (We can pick up on request)
3. We’ll weigh and tag your carcasses on arrival. You receive a meat processing sheet to choose what you’d like made.
4. We do the processing, vacuum packed and let you know when its ready for collection/delivery!

Venison Purchasing
We have a great demand for ethically hunted and sourced venison. We offer to purchase any carcasses back from Hunters and Game Farms should they have excess. Simply let us know what you have available to sell to us and we’ll confirm if we’ll buy it from you! You deliver it to us and we pay you for it. For 2026 our prices are as follows:
A Grade 1 R45 per kg: Headshot with skin on/off. Animal bled effectively.
B Grade – R40 per kg: One clean body shot, skinned and cleaned neatly. No excessive meat and blood damage.
C Grade – R35 per kg: More than one shot or excessive blood and meat damage. Poorly transported – warm, bruised etc.
Warthog and Zebra – R23 per kg
All prices based on carcasses being delivered to us, carcasses delivered cold and cleaned sufficiently.
Carcass Collection
We offer cold trailer collection services at R1200 per day plus R9.50 per km for any venison processing or venison purchasing.
Minimum Day charge of R1200.
